Hi, I'm Laura Perez — co-owner of AST Cleaning & Restoration and the person who runs our front office.
When you call AST, there's a really good chance I'm the one who picks up. My husband Steve started this company in 2011 as Alamo Steam Team, and I've been right next to him from day one — running the schedule, handling the paperwork, talking customers through what comes next.
Most of the people who call us are having a bad day. A pipe burst overnight. A water heater let go. Mold behind a wall. A storm leak through the chimney. They don't know who to trust, they don't know what their insurance will cover, and they don't know what's about to happen to their home. My job is to slow that conversation down, walk them through it in plain language, and make sure the right crew gets to them fast.
I take care of the schedule, the contents documentation, the invoicing, and the back-and-forth with the insurance carriers so our techs in the field can focus on the actual work. After 15+ years of this, I've heard just about every restoration story San Antonio can throw at us — and I still take the time to listen, because every house is somebody's home.
