On the mitigation side, a Project Manager coordinates the first 24–72 hours of a restoration job: water extraction, structural drying with air movers and dehumidifiers, containment for mold or smoke, moisture mapping, and daily documentation to the IICRC S500 (water), S520 (mold), and S700 (fire) standards insurance carriers rely on.
Mark's job is to make sure the mitigation crew hits the property fast, sets up the right equipment for the loss category, and documents drying progress with moisture readings and photos every day the equipment is on the floor. That documentation is what protects the homeowner's claim and keeps the job moving toward reconstruction on schedule.
